BLACK BEAN BROWNIES

A very requested recipe! That I literary whipped together one evening after dinner- for the most amazing dessert I HIGHLY recommend serving these babies warm from the oven with some sort of vegan ice-cream (I usually go with an almond/soy milk based one)

What you'll need:

1 can of Black Beans ( I generally choose organic tinned beans with no added salt, although be sure to still rinse your beans thoroughly)

1/2 a cup of GF free flour of choice- I used Bobs Red Mill generic gluten free 1:1 baking flour therefore a plain flour could easily be substituted :))

2 heaped TBS of good quality cacao powder

1/4 maple/rice malt syrup

1 large VERY ripe banana

a good pinch of salt

1-2 TBS of coconut sugar (depends on how sweet you like it/ sweetness of banana)

some vanilla bean powder- again entirely unto your personal preference

1 tsp baking powder

vegan choc chips (if you cannot find these... chopped vegan chocolate makes a fine substitute)

Add all ingredients (except choc chips) to the base of a high-powered blender (I use a VITAMIX), then simple turn on slowly and use the tamper to get the mixture moving! once evenly combined transfer to a pre-lined baking tin, sprinkle chocolate chips over the top and bake in a 180 degree celsius oven for around 20 minutes or until an inserted skewer comes out clean

now I challenge you not to eat the whole tray at once ;)
